Stephen has headed Pentan Partnership, in its current private practice guise, since 1995. Prior to 1995 he managed Pentan Design Practice, as it grew to become one of the largest in-house (Housing Association) multi-disciplinary design and technical practices in the UK. As an architect with over 25 years experience in the private and public residential sectors, Stephen’s projects range from one-off luxury, historic and contemporary flats and houses to multi-unit estates and high-rise developments.
His commercial property experience extends across both private and public sector clients with new and historic property developments for Housing Associations, the University of Wales, the Probation Service, and British Red Cross.
Stephen’s public-sector experience ranges through the primary, secondary and further educational sectors (notable projects include the Faculty of Art & Design for Caerleon College in Gwent) to Primary and Secondary schools, to University residential halls. Stephen's other specialisms include Construction Health and Safety (as CDM Co-ordinator); and Professional Indemnity Insurance (as a Director of a Mutual PI Association).
