EXTRA CARE DEVELOPMENT SECURES PLANNING APPROVAL

Our proposals for an 18 apartment extension to an existing sheltered housing scheme in Pershore, Worcestershire, for our clients Rooftop Housing Group, secured unanimous support at the latest planning committee meeting. The development will also provide a new community cafe, gym, health suite and IT facilities for both new and existing residents to benefit from. A new glazed link with ‘gold’ cladding houses the new communal facilities with the 18no. 1 and 2 bedroom apartments situated on the edge of the meadows with views towards the River Avon.

LANSBURY CLOSE HOUSING SCHEME SECURES PLANNING APPROVAL

We are very pleased to hear that the planning application for our Lansbury Close housing scheme was approved at this month’s committee meeting. Designed for Valleys to Coast Housing Association, the scheme provides 4 no. new 2 bedroom houses and 8 new apartments on an edge of settlement site in Maesteg.

PENTAN’S LARGEST HOUSING SCHEME IN FOR PLANNING

Pentan Architects have recently submitted a planning application for 193 new dwellings on the Willowbrook West site in St. Mellons, Cardiff. The second site in our partnership project with developer Wates and Cardiff Council proposes a mix of 2, 3 and 4 bedroom houses, both for sale and affordable, new public open spaces and a new wetland area. The existing mature landscape will give the scheme instant character and our new contemporary homes bringing a unique identity to this new scheme.

First Cardiff HPP scheme submitted

Pentan Architects are pleased to have submitted the Braunton Crescent and Clevedon Road planning application, the first of the Wates and Cardiff Council housing partnership programme projects. The development of 106 dwellings across two adjoining sites in Llanrumney includes 40 affordable units, new shared surfaces with associated landscaping and parkland improvements.

Golau Caredig Extra-care amongst Wales’s best

Golau Caredig Extra-care was recently listed amongst Wales’s best buildings according to the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) Wales Awards, 2016. Six category winners and a Project of the Year will be selected from the 30 shortlisted entries – to be revealed at an awards ceremony in May.

 

The scheme for Hafod Care Association, provides affordable independent living accommodation for people over 55 in the form of 42 purpose-built one and two-bedroom apartments.
