Pentan Partnership has recently completed its second extra-care housing project for Pembrokeshire Housing Association. Located in Steynton, near Milford Haven, the 48-flats development provides much-needed residential and communal accommodation for the over 55s, in need of care, in the Milford Haven area. The centre-piece of the development is a light-filled restaurant and lounge (see photograph), just one of the many facilities that are available to residents and their visitors. The external form of "Kensington Court" is distinguished by its roof-top wind-catchers (part of a natural ventialtion system that keeps the building cool in summer) and by its 'penthouse' flats in the roof. The latter give the scheme its distinctive gabled form.
