John Needham
Associate Director
Prior to joining Pentan Partnership, John gained a wide variety of experiences as an Architectural Technologist, working on projects which included Speculative Office Developments, Building Societies’ Offices Refurbishments, Aircraft Apprentice Training Facilities and the Medicare University Hospital of Wales Student/Research Centre. During this period, John working closely with building contractors throughout all aspects of the construction process, gaining invaluable experience at this ‘sharp-end’ of the procurement process.
John has been a key member of Pentan Partnership since it was founded in 1995, initially, as a Senior Architectural Technologist and later (1998 onwards) as an Associate Director, with responsibilities throughout the practice in all key areas of the production drawings and production information processes.
As an Associate Director, John has been involved in running key projects, working closely with contractors on site, under various contract forms. Projects completed include Flats and Staff Accommodation for the National Autistic Society in Newport; a Specialist Dementia Care Centre in Droitwich Spa; Extra-care and Activity/Day Care Facilities for the Elderly in Aberafan, Barnstaple, Evesham, Haverfordwest and Ledbury; and Residential Care/Resource Centres for the Elderly in Northamptonshire and Herefordshire.
John is currently working on a Care Home and a Housing-with-Care development in Caerphilly, South Wales, two of Pentan Partnership’s largest projects to date.
